i konw its probably nothing but i noticed if your ina port city such as lions arch, the boat used to allow you to select LA, i could be wrong.

The Polar Bear would still be in the .dat file, as a small number of people have got one and it would need to be stored in the .dat so that the game can display the pet if the owner decided to use it.

So does Easier = More fun? Fun is a hard word to generalize. I think its fun to smash my fingers in my car door but there are people out there who may not find that as fun.

Alright, how about this.

I find it fun to use gimmick builds to get things that I don't usually want to spend 4x the amount of time on to get without these gimmick builds.

You find it fun to not use these gimmick builds and actually have a challenge in your game. That's fine.

Nobody's forcing you to use the gimmick builds. You still have the choice to play the game the way you want.

If they nerf the gimmick builds, I'm being forced to either play a game using non-fun methods, use fun methods that take longer (= more grind), or not play at all.

lol. I can feel the heat from your post from all the way over here. Brother, you are preaching to the choir. I am all about gimmick builds. Before i started using discordway, i was R10 Ursan LFG. I also like to mix it up a bit. Like for vanquishing or grinding titles I go gimmickway. But when i do certain dungeons, DoA, or FoW, i will customize my team builds to fit the situation and take heroes that are not necros.

But if you stick around long enough you might to start noticing that Everytime Anet nerfs a gimmick build, 2 more gimimckways pop up. So i say "Bring on the nerf" Lets nerf Discord and make it shadow damage. Lets nerf restoration spells. Lets nerf cry of pain. Because just like Ursan was, these builds are the same. Builds that you can run by simply smashing your keyboard repeatedly with your face. But thats just my opinion which is worth about as much as yours.
